Hermes receives support from Valley City and Town Councilmembers

(CHANDLER, AZ) — Today, Ed Hermes, candidate for the County Board of Supervisors in District 1, announced support from city and town councilmembers across the East Valley. District 1 includes Ahwatukee, Tempe, Chandler, Queen Creek, Sun Lakes, and parts of Mesa, Gilbert and Scottsdale.

“These endorsements are a sign that cities and towns are looking for a new direction from their counterparts at the County,” said Hermes.

“Ed will be an advocate for taxpayers and provide the much needed fiscal oversight of the county’s budget,” said Gilbert Town Councilmember and Vice-Mayor Joan Krueger.

"Ed has the experience and values to be a strong advocate for the East Valley. I know he will work to make our communities safe and a great place to live now and for the future," said Mesa City Councilmember Dennis Kavanaugh.

"Ed will make the changes we need to ensure smart, sustainable growth for our county's future,” said Tempe City Councilmember Corey Woods.

Hermes recently received the endorsements of prominent Republicans: Chandler Unified Board Member Bob Rice; former Tempe Mayor Rudy Campbell; and Maricopa County Community College Board Member Colleen Clark.
