Inside Edge has learned Democratic candidate Jeff Riley will also post $225k for the first quarter of 2008. Riley, a former staffer for U.S. Representative Barney Frank has confirmed his campaign will show receipts for the first quarter of 2008 that will included $200k of his own money and another $25k raised from friends. He also states he intends to pick up fundraising in the 2nd quarter.

It is all his money! Why is he bragging? He didn't RAISE anything! What an arbitrary event. He should have at least kicked in another 20K to beat out Kirkpatrick. I get Titla running, I get Shanker running and Kirkpatrick running, but I just do not get Riley. Why move here from DC to run for a seat? Just because it worked for Renzi doesn't mean it will work for anyone else...
