Mitchell to VA: 'My patience is at an end'

Rep. Harry Mitchell (D-5) has been looking into the rising rate of veterans' suicides since last year, and, according to a letter he sent yesterday to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, he's at the end of his rope.

Depsite a CBS investigation, a lawsuit and repeated requests from Mitchell over the past months, the VA has not released figures on the rate of suicides and attempted suicides among returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. That has led Mitchell to issue an ultimatum: Turn over the figures, or else.
