    Mesa and Tempe elections today

    Mesa’s runoff election for Mayor is being held today between businessman Scott Smith and former City Council member Rex Griswold.  Also in Mesa, District 5 will decide between Phil Austin and Dina Higgins for their council seat.  Early voting in Mesa has been through the roof.

    In Tempe two at-large City Council seats will be filled when voters decide between current vice-chair Hut Hutson, Julie Jakubek, Joel Navaro and Corey Woods.

    Smith raises over $27K in 5 weeks

    Mesa Mayoral candidate Scott Smith has announced his latest fundraising numbers. The Mesa businessman revealed that he has raised nearly $27,000 over 5 weeks.

    Lesson to sign complainers

    It always happens.  During every campaign the team staff and supporters go around and put up signs.  It always happens.  Kids and supporters of the other side always tear down signs.  Its going to happen and you can do one of two things, plan ahead and deal with it or complain and waste time and energy and draw attention so the sign thieves up their efforts. 

    Recently Mesa Mayoral candidates Scott Smith and Rex Griswold have chose option 2.  Instead of realizing it was going to happen and plan ahead with a reserve of signs they have decided to complain about it.  Well here is an idea for these campaigns.  Maybe you should click "more" below see the solution.

    Smith adds Police endorsment to his growing list

    Mesa Mayoral candidate Scott Smith has added the Arizona State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police to his growing list of endorsements.  The police join the Professional Fire Fighters of Arizona in endorsing Smith over Rex Griswold for Mesa Mayor.  read more »

    Smith continues to rack up endorsements

    Mesa Mayoral candidate Scott Smith is continuing to rack up the endorsements over Rex Griswold.  Over the last two weeks Smith has announced endorsements from his former rival and Vice-Mayor Claudia Walters along with newly elected city council members Dennis Kavanaugh, Alex Finter and Dave Richins.  Now Smith
