Three things to watch for this week

The primary is only a week away in Arizona and things are sure to heat up this week.  Here are three things Inside Edge will be looking to watch this week.

1)     Will the Maricopa County Republicans and the congressional delegation continue to fight in public?

2)     Will the Arizona Democrats who were sharply divided in the Presidential Primary come home from Denver completely united or will any resentment remain?

3)     The LD22 state senate race was considered to be the one to watch by many earlier this year, but has been amazingly quiet.  Will things heat up with last minute attacks?

Democratic defector not welcomed by County Party

Tony Bouie was a Democrat earlier this year, but has since switched to the Republican Party and is running for state Representative against Stan Crump and Carl Seel.

Bouie has been welcomed with open arms by many of those who have taken the time to sit down with him, hear his story and to ask where he stands on a lot of the issues.  Conservatives such as Congressman John Shadegg and state Senator Pam Gorman have come out and endorsed Bouie.  Republican leaning organizations such as the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, the NFIB and the Arizona Realtors have also come out and endorsed Bouie in his campaign.

But not all conservatives are welcoming Bouie with open arms.
