Titla pledges improvements for rural fire departments

GLOBE — Congressional candidate Mary Kim Titla is visiting even the smallest communities in Congressional District 1 and is seeing first-hand the needs of communities like Dudleyville, south of Winkelman. While passing through the community of about 1300 people, Titla stopped by the local Fire Department and visited with Fire Chief Joe Morales.

"The Dudleyville Volunteer Fire District is just one example of how our emergency services are stretched to the limit in Congressional District 1. The fact that their newest vehicle is almost 20 years old doesn't sit well with me. Wildfires are a devastating problem in rural Arizona, and I pledge to make fire readiness a priority when in Congress,” said Titla.

"Furthermore, we must ensure that our fair share of federal tax dollars is not only returning to Arizona , but making their way to the smallest communities. I will fight hard for communities like Dudleyville to receive their fair share of much-needed revenue."

Titla has been holding listening sessions throughout District 1 as part of her historic campaign for Congress. Mary Kim Titla at Dudleyville Fire Department
