Rep. John Shadegg's Chief of Staff Sean Noble has told PolitickerAZ.com that his boss was "bowled over" by the letter of support 130 of his fellow Republicans in the House wrote him, urging him to reconsider dropping out of the re-election hunt.
"It was very persuasive," Noble commented. "You can't get 130 members of the House to do anything."
According to Noble, Shadegg hasn't even read the letter yet, but is impressed enough by the support that "he will have a discussion with his wife" about his plans.
Sean Noble himself has been giving a lot of thought to entering the Republican primary, already underway, to replace Shadegg on the ticket against Democrat lawyer Bob Lord. Now it seems that Noble and his potential competitors may have to put their plans on hold in anticipation of word from Shadegg.
