Sen. Pam Gorman giving consideration to CD3 bid

The Inside Edge has confirmed State Senator Pam Gorman is indeed giving serious consideration to running for the 3rd CD left open earlier this week when Congressman John Shadegg announced his retirement.

Gorman, a favorite among conservatives, would be another candidate in the conservative mold of Shadegg.  Gorman, is considered by many a fast rising star inside the party would need to decided if this is the right time for her to make a move or would she be better off continuing to move up the Republican leadership ladder in the Senate.

Gorman has been spending countless hours working through the budget trying to identify places Arizona could cut spending and dig out of its current budget hole.  While those are skills Gorman thinks are needed in Congress at this time, she needs to decide if now is the time to take that fight to Washington DC or keep working here.

Gorman said, "Yes, I am considering whether my conservative agenda can best serve our community in Washington DC.. But, there is a lot to consider obviously. I greatly enjoy my work in the Senate. And there clearly is a lot more to be done.  Anyone who knows me knows that if I am committed to a cause, I am going to dedicate all of my efforts to that cause and achieve success. So, before making that commitment, I will be weighing many considerations - personal and professional - and considering how I can best serve our community."
