Renzi no longer a McCain co-chair

As of yesterday, Rep. Rick Renzi (R-1), indicted on 35 federal counts Friday, has been removed from Sen. John McCain's leadership team, where he had been an Arizona co-chair. McCain had announced in his blogger conference call that Renzi was expected to step down from the campaign.

Meanwhile, a casual poll of leading Arizona Republicans by PolitickerAZ finds that solidarity with Mr. Renzi is conspicuously absent, and there is a widespread feeling that his resignation is desirable - the sooner the better.
