We all know the importance of superdelegates by now and each of their votes at the Democratic National Convention will be equivalent to about 10,000 votes from a standard primary voter.
10 of the 11 superdelegates are known (assuming as most everyone does that Terry Goddard will be chose to fill the an open slot). What is not known is who will be elected to fill the Vice-Chair spot of the Arizona Democratic Party which was vacated by Donna Branch Gilby so she could run for the Pima County Board of Supervisors.
That vacancy will be filled in April when the Democratic Party meets. There are 4 candidates for the seat as of today.
Charlene Fernandez of Yuma. Charlene is the Chair of the Yuma County Democratic Party which elected three Democrats to the state Legislature last year.
Carmen Villa-Prezelski of Tucson. Carmen is the secretary of LD28, mother of State Rep Tom Prezelski and a long time activist.
Diana Rhodes of Tucson. Diana managed Regina Romero's city council campaign in Tucson and works in her office.
Harriet Young of Flagstaff is the Chairman of the Coconino County Democratic Party.
