Arizona GOP spokesman Tony Reinhard revealed three more who might be running for Rep. John Shadegg's seat:
- State Sen. Pamela Gorman (R-Anthem)
- State Treasurer Dean Martin
- Jordan Rose, founding partner of the Rose Law Group
Gorman is a first-term state senator from District 6, but has enjoyed a thus-far rapid political ascendancy, serving only one term in the Arizona House before being elected a state senator.
Martin has been widely discussed as a possible gubernatorial candidate in 2010, and would have to resign his post to run, but may consider it worth his while.
Jordan Rose runs one of the most powerful law firms in the state, and has been identified as a burgeoning player in the Phoenix political scene for a while. Her advantage is that she can self-fund well in excess of what other possible GOP contenders - and Democratic challenger Bob Lord - would be able to raise.
