League of Conservation Voters: AZ has among best and worst lawmakers on environment

The annual League of Conservation Voters' National Environmental Scorecard, which ranks members of Congress on their environmental voting record for the previous year, was released today.

According to the report, Sen. John McCain has voted in line with what the League considers a pro-environment stance 0% of the time, while Rep. Harry Mitchell (D-5) has a 100% record for 2007. Overall, the Arizona Senate delegation was named one of the worst in the country, while the House delegation had about an average rating.

SENATE:

John Kyl (R) - 13%

John McCain (R) - 0%

HOUSE:

Rick Renzi (R-1) - 10%

Trent Franks (R-2) - 5%

John Shadegg (R-3) - 5%

Ed Pastor (D-4) - 90%

Harry Mitchell (D-5) - 100%

Jeff Flake (R-6) - 15%

Raul Grijalva (D-7) - 90%

Gabby Giffords (D-8) - 95%
