"April is the cruelest month," wrote T.S. Eliot, who surprisingly wasn't speaking of tax season. For Arizona Democrats, though, April is better described as the busiest month.
For two Saturdays in a row, Apr. 12 and 19, Democrats of the 3rd and 5th Congressional Districts will hit the streets in droves as a part of their "Day of Action" program. Party activists will circulate petitions to get Dems balloted and go door knocking and street talking to beef up the party's presence in those crucial districts.
That's in the run-up to the party's convention, which will be held Apr. 26 at the Wyndham Hotel in Phoenix, where the remaining Arizona delegates to the Democratic National Convention will be allocated.
