Bee slams Giffords for returning to Tucson

State Sen. Pres. Tim Bee (R-Tucson) attacked his 8th Congressional District opponent, U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Tucson) in a statement Tuesday, criticizing her for returning home after Monday's vote on the failed financial rescue bill.

"She urged Democrats and Republicans to 'put election-year politics aside' and develop solutions," said Bee in a statement, "while, according to the Arizona Daily Star, 'she hopped on a plane for Tucson to ... campaign against her Republican challenger, Tim Bee. Numerous efforts to reach Giffords were unsuccessful.'"

The full quote from the Arizona Daily Star article read: "Instead she hopped on a plane for Tucson to celebrate the Jewish New Year and campaign against her Republican challenger, Tim Bee." Rosh Hashanah began Monday night and ends Wednesday night.

"I urge Congresswoman Giffords to follow her own advice and rush back to Washington, put politics aside and develop solutions as quickly as she rushed to Arizona to campaign against me," Bee continued.

In a statement issued Monday evening, Giffords expressed her belief that the bailout bill "did not have adequate taxpayer protections to ensure a fair, long-term return on our investment." She also said it "lacked strong enough restrictions on executive compensation."

Giffords took issue as well with the way the bill was "rushed" to the floor of the House.

"As the most expensive economic program in the history of the country, I believe Congress needs to take more time to fully consider the implications of such legislation," said Giffords.

Bee, however, said he thought the freshman should be playing a more active role in the negotiations.

"My opponent, Gabrielle Giffords is not seen as part of the solution, or as part of the discussions. That is not leadership for southern Arizona," said Bee.

He also placed the blame for the crisis squarely on the shoulders of the Democratic Party.

"In 2006, Democrats promised the American people they would end business as usual. Instead theyve continually failed the American people and have allowed a brewing financial crisis on Wall Street to threaten Main Street."

In his assessment of the necessary measures, though, he did not disagree with Gifford. Bee called for more taxpayer protections and "reform" of government sponsored enterprises, most notably Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.. He also said he wanted to eliminate the affordable housing trust fund, which, he said, "siphons off capital to fund liberal third party organizations."

The TRUTH in regards Bee slams Giffords for returning to Tucson

Though it is an election year and Tim Bee is about to be without a job in politics, it seems like he would think before speaking.

Something "Mr." Bee forgets is that all the House of Representatives is out till Thursday when they return to possibly vote on the new Senate Bailout/Buyout bill. Congresswoman Giffords was, in reality, one of the few in the House of Representatives who voted AGAINST a recess at this time. She was outvoted in this.

"Mr." Bee also states "My opponent, Gabrielle Giffords is not seen as part of the solution, or as part of the discussions." This is again said by Tim Bee out of his fear of being an EX politician and not doing very good in the polls. Gabrielle Giffords is, in fact, all over this legislation and is, as has been reported numerous places in the media, VERY active. "Mr." Bee also states that the U.S. financial problems are due to the Democrats. The TRUTH is that Clinton left office with a 7 trillon SURPLUS which the Republicans have already burnt through. Add to that 7 trillion being gone the 7 trillion that the Republicans war against Osama (where IS he anyway???)has cost us and now another 7 trillion as pushed by BUSH and his administration for this Buyout/Bailout that is necessary due to Republicans demanding and pushing through more and more deregulation.

What we have here in the case of Tim Bee is a person who, because of term limits, now finds himself about to be out of a job. We find here a person who, regardless of how much he must outright lie and stretch the truth will do literally whatever it takes to take the office of Gabrielle Giffords (who, unlike McCain, has missed only ONE vote during her time in office).

Tim Bee likes to make everyone think that Gabrielle Giffords usually votes along with Nancy Pelosi yet at the same time he mumbles these little clots of politician nonsense he is voting 100% of the time the way the Republican party and George Bush tell him to vote.

In finishing, Tim Bee further slams Giffords for going to Church while the House of Representatives is out for 2 days. Something to think about here is that, were she a Republican, Tim Bee would be lauding Giffords FOR going to Church. I'm sorry "Mr." Bee but I don't buy your lies, I don't buy your spin, and I WILL be voting Giffords on November 4.
