Bitter Smith's first ad on the air

As of Wednesday, Susan Bitter Smith has become the third of the five major candidates in the 5th Congressional District Republican primary to hit the airwaves.

Her first ad begins by invoking Ronald Reagan, showing Bitter Smith as a Reagan delegate at the 1980 Republican National Convention, and prominently features Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a key endorser who spoke at her campaign kickoff.

Nope, I am not True GOP, but I agree with him/her.

Anonymous33...if that is your real name...

Get over yourself and (I'm using my powers of inference here) and get over your boytoy David Schweikert. Are you still mad that I dropped the bomb that your RINO candidate was endorsed by the AFL-CIO twice (one of those includes his horribly failed bid for Congress in 1994)? Could it have been the repeated late FEC filings? Or was it the double billing hardworking homeowners on property taxes thing? Or the support for raising gas prices and property values? Or his mismanagment of the County Treasurer's Office that resulted in an audit? It's all true and out there for the world to see. And most importantly, it all unaswered.

I know you're upset. You now know you are all tools who followed your pied piper Club for Growth idots in supporting this god-awful candidate that might be able to buy a cheap primary victory with his dirty money but, as all of us TrueGOPers in the 5th know all too well, money won't buy the general. Laura Kanperek is the Just for Men to David's salt n' pepper quaff and the large hat to Harry Mitchell's combover. Seriously though, it's all fun and games here on the blogs until an unelectable candidate gets nominated so, if anyone, Schweikert should be the one to drop out for the good of the district and always remember - Viva Knaperek!

TrueGOP???????

Hey Republican in CD5 sounds a lot like "TrueGOP". Have we not banished you yet?

It is obvious to me by the posts below that Susan Bitter Smith is the worst thing to have happend in this race! I think, if she really cared about getting ride of Harry she would drop out. She is such a liar...

Thanks for the Green Light Laura

The only thing Laura Knaperek has been conservative about is claiming victories against repuatable democrats. Her legislative record seems to show the type of beating she really supports is..SPOUSAL RAPE.

What?

With her deciding vote she personally killed a bill that would have increased the penalty of this heinous crime from its current status as a misdemeanour. That's right, in Laura's mind stealing cable and raping your spouse deserve the same legal penalty. I know it's hot but Laura...this isn't Afghanistan.

There clear cut best choice is Laura Knaperek

Laura Knaperek is the only candidate that has demonstrated the true conservative nature through out her public tenure as 10 year State Representave. She has never changed her stance on taxation, abortion and parental rights. She is solid on illegal immigration, budget writing and energy issues.

Laura Knaperek is the work horse in CD5. She is the representive that this district is looking for.

Idiots!

David, if this is the best your Club For Growth cronies can do in the "Susan bashing" area, you lose. Just like you'll lose in the primaries. Voter's aren't stupid, and they can spot a knuckle dragging right-wing self centered Luddite like yourself a mile away.

On her campaign signs she

On her campaign signs she claims to be the “Conservative Republican Candidate.” How can you claim that if you are pro-choice???? Not to mention she looks horrible in the commercial. I'll tell you one thing; the Susan in the commercial does not look a thing like her campaign signs. The sign picture on her sign must have been taken 60 years ago. Either that or Costco must sell Oil of Olay by the gallon.

I think it's safe to say she lives up to her name leaving a "Bitter" taste in my mouth.

Hey, I am not a supporter of

Hey, I am not a supporter of Susan’s. I am supporting someone because I think they are a better candidate than Susan. But that does not mean I support you bashing other candidates.

In addition to this most

In addition to this most recent lie that has been brought up by “ Bryan ” and “Mr. Smith”, remember the picture of her at the convention with her son on her lap in the commercial? Well, the commercial leads you to believe that picture was from the 1980 convention. However, on her website it shows the same picture but underneath is says 1984 convention. How far will this woman go to stretch the truth? Thanks for the info guys, Mrs. Bitter Smith will not be getting my vote!

Pat… Wait a minute, just

Pat…

Wait a minute, just wait right there. You mean she was an alternate delegate??? Not a “Delegate” like her commercial claims????? How and the heck does Susan Bitter Smith get away with all of her lies??? ? The truth is out! Hey Susan, tell your supporter to stop hurting your cause

All of this made me do some

All of this made me do some research on Susan. If you remember in her commercial it says that she was a “Reagan Delegate” in 1980. Well, I looked it up and found out that she was in fact at the 1980 convention as an alternate. So say what you want but she was there.

07/24/08 7:57 pm

Who exactly made this

Who exactly made this commercial for her? I think it is safe to say that it is the worst commercial in the history of political commercials. A Reagan Republican??? Who does she think that we are??? Here are just two examples of why Susan Bitter Smith is nothing like Ronald Reagan. Reagan would have never taken money from “Emily’s List”, the DNC’s arm for pushing forward the murdering agenda of pro-choice democrats. A Reagan Republican would never support aborting children. Check out her old FEC records and you will find that they donated to her previous failed attempt for Congress in 2000. Secondly, remember Reagan’s eleventh Commandment? (“Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican”) If she were a true Reagan Republican she would have never thrown the mud that she did in 2000. In case everyone here needs to be reminded, here is a link to the infamous Bensen cartoon depicting her as she really is. http://susanguttersmith.com/

Reagan what?

Just because you voted for the guy doesn't mean you vote like the guy.

Susan is a pro-choice liberal lobbyist.

Enough said.
