President to appear for Bee in Tucson

President George W. Bush is coming to Tucson on July 18 to "honor" state Senate President and 8th Congressional District candidate Tim Bee (R-Tucson).

According to the invitation, the event will take place at the home of Jackie and William Bell, and is being hosted by auto dealership magnate Jim Click, National Rifle Association President Sandra Froman, lawyer and real estate developer Duff Hearon and former Carondelet Foundation CEO Jannie Cox.

The event is being mounted by the Tim Bee Arizona Trust, a joint fundraising venture of Tim Bee for Congress, the National Republican Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee and the Pima County Republican Party Federal Campaign. Contributors of $10,000 or more get a VIP reception and photo op with Pres. Bush, while donations of $1,000 to $9,999 earn the donor breakfast at the event.

The Bee campaign will get the lion's share of the donations generated by the Bush breakfast - his primary fund takes the first $2,300 in contributions, and his general election fund gets the second $2,300. The next $10,000 goes to the RNC, and the following $10,000 after that goes to the NRCC. Up to $5,000 thereafter goes to the Pima County GOP.

10K vs 25k

President Bush is more welcome in Tucson than Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi according to their approval ratings. Gabby is one and done and Tim Bee will get things done.

Bush not welcome in Tucson, this will not help Bee

Tim Bee must be desperate to try to raise more money to get within shouting distance of Congresswoman Giffords' huge campaign budget.

Bringing in a very unpopular President will not help Bee win more support, and could hurt, especially with critical Independent and angry GOP voters in CD8.

Earlier this year Bush was trying to charge $25k for the VIP reception and photo op, and not getting as many big donors as the GOP wanted. Notice now the price is down to $10k. Bush is now on sale at over 50% off!
