Conservative, Liberal and Independent bloggers…. Get ready to unite.

According to a report on Arizona Daily Star’s web site, Oro Valley is trying to squash a local blogger’s 1st Amendment rights because they don’t like who he endorsed on his blog.

Art Segal has been highly critical of local officials on his blog www.letorovalleyexcel.blogspot.com. And once he endorsed challengers to incumbent council members, Oro Valley Town Clerk Kathryn Cuvelier told Segal in a letter he needed to register as a political committee. The letter was followed up with a call from the town’s attorney confirming the letter. Glad to see tax dollars are being spent on such worthy matters.

Conservative and liberal bloggers disagree on a lot of issues, but we are going to assume this is not one.
